Enjoy the Beach!

Whether you’re an early riser who enjoys a peaceful sunrise stroll or someone who unwinds with your toes in the sand after a day of learning, the beach is just steps away from the conference hotel. The Daytona Grande Oceanfront Resort offers direct beach access, so you can easily take in the ocean breeze, relax by the waves, or even squeeze in an ocean dip before your first session of the day. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

You can download the free Volusia Beaches mobile app for information on weather, tides, active lifeguard stands, parks, and more. It is available for iOS and Android.

For persons needing assistance, free beach wheelchairs are available for use. Wheelchairs are available first come, first served at no charge. People can check them out from a lifeguard station and use them for a couple of hours, depending on the waiting list. Wheelchairs are available at the following lifeguard stations:

  • Beach Headquarters (Sun Splash Park), Daytona Beach (closest to the conference hotel)
  • Ponce Inlet Control Tower
  • Dunlawton Blvd, Daytona Beach Shores
  • Ormond Beach Station, Cardinal Drive
